Follow Alice down the rabbit hole in this magical, musical retelling of Lewis Carroll’s beloved fantasy. This adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by a playwright who grew up at Cottage Theatre will appeal to you whether your own journey through the looking glass was last week or decades ago.

Regarded by many theatre professionals as the finest musical ever created, Gypsy is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters’ success – while secretly yearning for her own. Set all across America in the 1920s and 30s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born, Arthur Laurents’ landmark show explores the world of two-bit show business with brass, humor, heart and sophistication.

Auditions for the musical Cabaret. Audition details listed: Saturday, January 10 at 6:00 pm OR Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 pm (attend whichever fits your schedule); callbacks (if needed) Sunday, January 11 at 7:00 pm. Please prepare 16–36 bars of a musical theatre song and bring sheet music for the accompanist or an audition track recording (no a cappella or tracks with vocals). There will be a dance audition—please come dressed to move—and auditions will include readings from the script and some singing from the show (1998 version). Virtual auditions are welcome; submit 16–36 bars of a song of your choice plus one song section of the same length from the show to info@cottagetheatre.org.
